The collection: dialogues II

Volume 2: Time is an Illusion
We continue with the series of exhibitions that foster the connection between our permanent collection and other invited works. In this edition, we focus on the dialogue with the Juan and Patricia Vergez collection, including works from other Spanish public collections.

In the first edition of this series, which was entitled "History between persistence and critique," the exhibition was organized around three main themes: ways of understanding history, educational processes, and belief and the present. This second edition, "Time is an illusion", continues to investigate the processes of temporal understanding.

In this case, the exhibition reflects on how culture can be influenced by different conceptions of history, perception and temporality. Throughout the exhibition, the idea that time is something that can be objectively quantified is questioned and the complexity of establishing divisions between past, present and future is explored, as different layers overlap and affect each other.
